چکیده
Abstract This paper presents the shear behavior, crack patterns, and failure modes of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with geopolymer Portland cement mortar panels. The specimens were prepared in form panels a size 300 mm x 700 mm, each consisting 4 pieces. specimen produced dimension 150 2300 static monotonic loading test was carried out. To ensure strength used is based on target, compressive out at age 28 days, 3 samples each. According to results beams, maximum load beam strengthed increased by 34.98% 29.54%, respectively, compared control beam. addition causes it’s behavior change, becoming more ductile. also has an impact patterns modes. CB experience failure, which indicated appearance diagonal cracks along area point loading, whereas panel flexural failure.

Shear strengthening of reinforced concrete beams with CFRP
The current paper reviews existing design guidelines for strengthening beams in shear with carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets and proposes a modification to Concrete Society Technical Report TR55. It goes on to present the results of an experimental programme which evaluated the contribution of CFRP sheets towards the shear strength of continuous reinforced concrete (RC) beams. A tot...
متن کاملCode: 3.3.02 Analysis of Different Types of Cementitious-based Composites Used as Shear Strengthening System for Reinforced Concrete Beams
The global tendency to apply sustainable criteria in most of the productive fields and the limited durability and the pathologies that reinforced concrete elements suffer are aspects that explain the increasing necessity of strengthening this type of structures. The evolution of strengthening techniques has consisted in the development of new technologies that ease the application of the soluti...
متن کاملStrengthening of Shear Deficient Reinforced Concrete Beams Retrofitted with Cement-based Composites
The restoration of strength and stiffness of damaged reinforced concrete beams with deficient reinforcements, through retrofitting, was experimentally and numerically studied. Retrofitting is carried out by wrapping glass fiber strips using cement-based composite binders. Six beams of size 1500mm (length) x100mm (width) x 150mm (depth) have been tested in four-point bending. Three beams are use...
متن کاملFlexural Strengthening of Deficient Reinforced Concrete Beams with Post-Tensioned Carbon Composites using Finite Element Modelling
The application of external post-tensioned steel bars as an effective way to strengthen an existing bridge has been so far used in many different countries. In recent decades, however, they have been replaced by bars made from Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP), as a material with high tensile strength and corrosion resistance, to address several concerns with steel bars such as their appli...
متن کاملStrengthening of Corrosion-Damaged Reinforced Concrete Beams with Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer Laminates
Problem statement: This study showed the results of an experimental investigation on the strengthening of corrosion damaged reinforced concrete beams with unidirectional cloth glass fiber reinforced polymer (UDCGFRP) laminates. Approach: All the beam specimens 150×250×3000 mm were cast and tested for the present investigation. One beam specimen was neither corroded nor strengthened to serve as ...
